Final cut (mac) vs Premiere (win)

If you are buying new computer for video editing and can not chose between apple and win likai had year ago, i suggest you to buy apple.
Well i bought a dell studio xps 1646 with intel i7core, because the same price but two more times powerfull than same price apple mac pro.
But why now i suggest mac?

Really briefly
because in final cut you can AVCHD files and other GOPframe based videos trancode in Apple ProRes 422 codec and your mac will need less power to work with them in after effects or finalcut or whatever and keep the video quality the same, only they will be much more heavier. Though AVCHD file color sample ratio is 420 you can transcode tham into apple prores 422, that doesnt mean you will have better quality video but it will give you more space to work with colors etc.

On win you can use Avid codec DNxHD with is smth simmilar to apple prores422, from my experience there are non bugs (erors) working in AE and switching to Premiere, but it take the same pc power, to reduce pc performance you will need hard drive wich is faster than 7200 rpm

i think i will update this later but so on i hope you will be more clerier in this one or you can correct me if there smth wrong.

Frankly, I think you rather meant increase than decrese. If you still are sticking with your statement, then I have a counter-question. Why on earth you would want to do that ?

  2. well yess you are correct. i though that with Dnx HD and Apple prores 422 codecs is easier (better) to work with and it is frendlier to your computer.

cool that you like what i wrote, so in future will be more similar things.
    come back later!

    cheers
