I have not written here for some while, because of summer, busy time for me, but now i am sick have nothing to do and have some reviews in my mind.
So The Shadow conspiracy coffin backpack.
I will start with the PROS
- Good looking for so big backpack
- Lot of space
In the picture you see my backpack packed with two deadolights with tripods, my sony nex5, sony handycam, dictaphone, light filters, 0,5 waterbotle and some small things. There even was space for my 16 inch laptop.
- Of course laptop sleeve, love it
CONS
Biggest one is that bag cant handle weight what is possible to put there inside.
After some 4-5 months off using bag
Ater 7 months
No more waterproof
No more cons.
SUMMARY
All and all i love this bag, because it is handy for me as a bike rider, cameraman and student. Only it is not enough durable for me. If it would held at least year it would be my favorite bag.
Hope in new TSC night shift backpack is avoided those cons, but new backpack is not so good looking, at least in pictures.

This is my first work on MAC final cut studio. Cuted in Final cut pro and did some small color corections in color.
Problems who i got and some TIPs.
First one was that wen i instal FCS mac asked me for admin password, and because mac was not mine i stuck on that firstly.
second problem was that FCS nether FCP or compressor did not liked my AVCHD mts files, so i fixed this problem instaling Adobe Premiere cs4 and Adobe media encouder. IF you have a media encouder on mac than you are able to encoud .mts in apple pro res and work on FCP.
Had some problems with timelines but those maybe where because i am not used to FCP
Compering working with Adobe premiere on two times better processor on mac with apple pro res working was much more faster, only rendering titles (texts) was slow did not understand that...
Color not that easy as on Adobe but final product is good will try to use to it.
All and all FCP > Adobe Premiere

I got this problem with FCP spacebar did not worked, timeline did not starrted to play when i pushed spacebar. And there is really easy how to fix it! if you are not from States you need to changer your language under language settings to US and space bar then is working! :)
Finally got chance to see Mike Novelli documentary about bmx bikes and problems with skateparks in USA, happy that there arent not allowed bike parks in Latvia, but there are showed many problems with extreme sport what is in all Countries.
So show this movie to your parents and other negative thinking people who you know!!!!

Manual controls during video
No fully manual video controls, but in firmware update 3 is possible to manually control aperture, but still is not possible to manually control shutterspeed and ISO, we hope that it will be possible in firmware update V4.

TIP
How to save money on lenses, it is possible to use old russian for example M42 mount lenses, wich are enough in good quality. Of course you need m42 to sony nex adapter. And with those lenses you must do everything manualy, focus, aperture.

Pegs what i have rode
first one with name was GT 50/50 pegs, Aluminium with Chromoly sleeve around, grinds good whatever sruface, but was not really light.
Next one was eastern bikes ramp pegs, structure the same as GT, but two times lighter, one off Eastern parts who i think is good for using, works more than month :D
now i am riding MacneilFashionably Light pegs, but i suggest those only for park, no street is wealthy for them, looks cool and slim but arent wery strong, grinds good on almost ewery surface.
In future i am looking for, Fly cro-mo pegs, because those are from Chromoly and are light enough 170g or Some of animal light one like Animal MK3 lite Pegs 161g and made from chromoly.
Nowadays RED is one off most popular cameras in cinema makeing. This year 16 oscar nominated movies (for example Social Network) where captured with RED cameras.
Cheapest body RED ONE mysterium-x costs 25K, it can film in resolution up to 4,5K (Full HD 1920x1080 is 1K), 59.97 fps, and with color sampling ratio 4:4:4 (AVCHD in DSLR cameras and most handycams got 4:2:0), so picture with RED one is closest to reality and have the biggest oppertunities to collor it in editing process.
This one is made for super slow motion videos, it can film up to 1,560 fps in 2K resolution, in Full HD it can film 2,800 and in HD 6,100 FPS, with color sampling ratio up to 4:4:4, SICK, to show what i mean see the video, o and yess this baby's body costs 50K till 150K

Talking about bike and skate videos
i found aout that many riders and skaters still like to shoot with cameras like sony vx1000, wich shoots in DV quality, in mini DV format. BUT for all who where using this or similar cameras where used one tipe of lenses century mark 1 fisheye, everyone said that is what you need for skate bike videos. but some are started to use new tehnologies like canon 5D mrk2 or canon 550d so it is depending of yourself what to choose clasiic mini DV camecorder or new DSLR photo cameras with Full HD quality.

for pc screen itis even ok in DV quality only what i dont like is the 4:3 aspect ratio
Just watched rocky the first and thought i can write smth about it.
Rocky the first movie was big day for Garrett Brown the steadicam inventor. This was the first movie in wich was used steadicam, you can see that detailed in the video.
And little about editing.
Scene where Rocky preperes to his big fight is good example to one of the three ideologies about Montage (Editing tehnique), "Clip reel" - condensed narrative information. Advances the narrative through a collapse of time and space.
Sony vegas
Worked with this some 2 years, till i found Adobe Premiere.
Easy to work with, isn't wery complicated, only didn't like exporting, i think it is easier in Adobe premiere.
Does not need high system requirements, if you have single core pc and want to work with HD files i suggest this one.

Adobe Premiere
More popular than Sony Vegas and a little bit advanced. I am using this software now, it is logicaly made and easy to work with for me. Easy to switch between After Effects and Premiere, for advanced video editing. Easy to use with Photoshop, import Photoshop files and invidual layers. Uses more system power than Sony Vegas. For me it is easyer to export media in Premiere.

Apple Final cut
yeah if you are mac user better dont even look at other software i suggest this one, and AE for some advanced editing. In final cut is the Apple prores422 codec (About it ), with whom you can play real time 4K videos from your RED camera If you have one :D. For normal people it is better to transcode AVCHD files in Apple prores 422 for editing.
Final cut workflow is really similar to Premiere.
Easier than PRemiere and Vegas is when you put in some fotage the software detects it and sugest you best timeline settings, that is useful if you not into video formats, codecs, framerates etc.

Avid media composer
I had it only one time opened, found it really complex and couldnt import any video it was asking for some sound codecs whom i couldnt get work. But Avid DNxHD codec is useful, you can download it for vegas and for Adobe and work with it.
Conclusion
Chose whatever software you like, still you will need to sit to it for some while.
TIP
Main thing is to set sequence, project, timeline setiings the same as video you will use, those you can find on your camecorder or right click on your video and see the details, for exporting use the same framerate, format i suggest .mp4 or .mov, if the file is realy large try to reduce bitrate. See the youtube or vimeo recommendations for video exporting (vimeo).
Of course this is my opinion and out there ar many many more good music videos but those are what i have seen and what i rememberd.If there are any what you can suggest please copy link to comments.

But you can see this is latvian its only in 360p couldnt find better, if it would be in Full HD it would be so cool!!
I am now without HD video camera but using my friends Reinis (thanks to him) Sony hdr-sr10.
so i am searching for cheapest and best camera with full HD resolution, and i found this one as a good opportunity.
It have Full HD, AVCHD, 1920x1080 interlaced, 60/50fps, 17mbps or MP4, 1440x1080 interlaced, 30/25 fps, 12 Mbps video recording.
It is really imressive for so compac camera with replaceable lens and with so big 23.4x15.6mm Exmor APS HD CMOOS Sensor wich is bigger than Canon 550d (22.3 x 14.9 mm CMOS sensor).
In Latvia 16mm kit is 200$ cheaper than Canon 550d body.
BIG PLUS is that LCD display is moveable compering with 550d and you can get wide angled or fisheye lens for it each smth about 150$
Cons
- no 3.5mm jack for mic (only can use sony mic for sony nex camera wich costs 100$)
All in all it is OK but if you dont need to film interviews (well you can use external mic and sync it in editing)
If you are buying new computer for video editing and can not chose between apple and win likai had year ago, i suggest you to buy apple.
Well i bought a dell studio xps 1646 with intel i7core, because the same price but two more times powerfull than same price apple mac pro.
But why now i suggest mac?
Really briefly
because in final cut you can AVCHD files and other GOPframe based videos trancode in Apple ProRes 422 codec and your mac will need less power to work with them in after effects or finalcut or whatever and keep the video quality the same, only they will be much more heavier. Though AVCHD file color sample ratio is 420 you can transcode tham into apple prores 422, that doesnt mean you will have better quality video but it will give you more space to work with colors etc.
On win you can use Avid codec DNxHD with is smth simmilar to apple prores422, from my experience there are non bugs (erors) working in AE and switching to Premiere, but it take the same pc power, to reduce pc performance you will need hard drive wich is faster than 7200 rpm
i think i will update this later but so on i hope you will be more clerier in this one or you can correct me if there smth wrong.
So about cassete hubs, not used many but those what i used was pretty good.
Firstly WeThePeople supreme cassete hub
If you dont know what cassete hub to take i suggest you this one. It has reverse sistem in driver from regular cassete hubs, it have 6 pawls and each pawl have 2 points wich touch the driver, so you have like 12 pawls, each pawl have his own spring, and this cassete could be realy realy loud.
I was riding it for almoust 3 years and than the shel had a crack and with it i even drove with it like month
Remember 3 YEARS!!
If you ride pegs it is easily to put on hubguard, fits WTP rear hubguard, Shadow conspiracy rear hubguard and maby some others.
All in all this is the hub what you need to get!
Next one is Shadow rant v2
I could say it is the same as WTP supreme, just the shell is a little bit different.Fits the same hubgueards.
Had this hub because it the same as WTP and i was riding with it 6 months till i got freecouster.
No problems those 6 months.
And WTP hubguard still work for me. It has his 3. hub :D:D
